In recent years, Covestro has taken the discovery of novel bio-based materials as a new strategy to reduce its dependence on fossil fuel-based raw materials. With the same spirit, Covestro keeps looking for more efficient methods in reducing waste and energy consumption during production processes.

According to the U.S. News Best Global Universities, National Central University (NCU) ranks 4th in Taiwan. In fulfilling the mission of sustainable development, Covestro has devoted to a comprehensive and closely-connected collaboration with NCU, hence the establishment of the NCU-Covestro Research Center.
